Question: Can a diamond ring be re-sized to several sizes up or down?
(Posted by: ff6sabin_2000 on 2010-02-01 18:05:26)
I'm thinking of buying a diamond ring for my girlfriend, but most diamond rings are standard at 7 - 8 ring size (US). Her ring size is 10 - 10.5. I don't know why, it just is. I was wondering if I could purchase a ring from Zales or this BJ Wholesale that I found nice rings that are size 7 or 8. Now, I've heard from Zales that they can re- size a ring, but I wasn't sure if they could re- size from 7 to 10.5. Anyone? Here are the rings I'm considering. http:/ / zales.imageg.net/ graphics/ product_images/ pZALE1- 2745285_alternate2_t400.jpg http:/ / zales.imageg.net/ graphics/ product_images/ pZALE1- 2220764_alternate1_t400.jpg http:/ / content.vcommerce.com/ products/ 602/ 71604602/ fullsize.jpg?- 784757063 http:/ / content.vcommerce.com/ products/ 610/ 71604610/ fullsize.jpg?- 784768615 |

I'm sure they could!!! If it is up or down a half size, they would probably do it in the store, but to resize it that much, they would have to send it off-site, gold would be added to it, and you would get it back in a couple of weeks. |

Rings can be sized down pretty easily but not up. When sizing down all you need to do is remove the excess material but you can't add material to size it up. |
