Question: Old european cut diamonds question?

I was wondering, ive seen a old European cut diamond ring for sale, its over 100 years old and i really like it but the question i have is, i know the older european cut rings are cut different but are their clarity's much different to today's diamond rings for sale? a usual diamond in a 9ct gold ring is about sl1 - l1 of clarity so would one of the old european cut diamond rings 14ct gold be about the same?
