Question: How do i get my diamond ring turned into a necklace?
(Posted by: Ashley on 2010-03-16 07:31:25)
I have my grandmother's old engagement ring which I would like to have turned into a diamond necklace. The diamond is small, maybe a half carat or so and I would like just a simple solitaire or other timeless setting. I'm open to suggestions. How much will it cost and where would I go to get it done? |

You can pick a full bezel or half bezel from whiteflash.com It will cost you 75.00 to set. Make sure you send your diamond in with an appraisal or valuation. It’s a good idea to get your diamond insured before you have anybody set the diamond. You minimize any risk in handing over your most precious diamond to a company to set. whiteflash.com/ fine-jewelry/ pendants/ full-bezel-diamond-pendant-setting-only_669.htm Check out reviews on this place to feel sure that they might provide a good alternative to resetting your diamond into a necklace. BTW that’s a great way to refresh your diamond into a ‘ new look’. Good Luck! |

Take a string. Put it through the ring. Put it around your neck. -.- |

Sorry you got that smart ass answer. you can go to a local jeweler (zale's, marks and morgans) and have them set the diamond in a pendant or whatever you choose and put it on a chain. |

You could make a classic solitaire diamond pendant : one diamond setted with 4 prongs! then u can buy a gold chain ( or u can use your own ). show the jeweler the diamond, then then can do it for u! good luck! |

Take a look at some different settings online - there are a number of retailers who offer a variety of solitaire diamond pendant settings, with dejoria.co.uk being one of them. Decide what you like best. Speak to the online retailer and see if they will set your existing diamond into the pendant. If not, print off the design and take along to your local jewelers to show them what you want. They may well be able to help. I hope this helps you in some way. |
